Firstly, please be assured that my goal is not to mention the C-word at any point throughout this communication. But, never say never. We all know it’s everywhere and has impacted virtually every person on the planet and these are challenging times for us all. So, having just finished my children’s home schooling responsibilities for the day, I wanted to make the most of some precious downtime to reflect on where we are as a business and what we’ve achieved in the last quarter. And regarding the C-word… On a positive note – I am happy to report that our continued investment in our people, technology and great relationships with our customers has stood us in good stead throughout these uncertain times, and with a continued laser sharp focus on great delivery and a little luck, I am quietly confident we will all weather this storm. Following are some of the recent highlights.

IOWArocks development progress

The IOWArocks marketplace is really gaining traction in the market and we are delighted to be working very closely, amongst others, with one of the world’s major content creators – more details to follow. Our development roadmap is also progressing very well and we are focussed on providing enterprise grade functionality and a highly intuitive interface which will enable both content creators and content consumers to seamlessly present data and transact business with ease.

Expanding our IOWArocks community

We are all about partnerships and creating mutually supportive and productive relationships. So it gives me great pleasure to share some really exciting news about our fast growing IOWArocks community. Over the last 12 months we have invested heavily in expanding the IOWArocks partner ecosystem and have welcomed a number of new content creators and partners to the party.

It’s a hardworking but fun group which is already adding significant value to our business and to our users. The growing list is starting to read like the who’s who of the fintech and data world and there is more to come. New content creators

EDI – An award-winning provider of global security corporate actions, pricing and reference data.

CubeLogic – CubeWatch SA enables firms to track sentiment by monitoring social media channels, such as Twitter and other review sites like Glassdoor or Trustpilot etc. It automatically organises, filters, translates, scores and weights data collected to provide insights in real-time.

A new ecosystem partner

Clarity Partners – Clarity Partners provide business development services for both MDXT and IOWA.rocks including account management of existing clients and lead generation activities in the APAC region.

Extended relationships and new clients

Earlier this year we were delighted to announce an extended relationship with TP ICAP – MDXT aligns with TP ICAP’s Data & Analytics Business to Maximise Value from Data. Designed to enhance the firm’s overall data distribution capabilities, MDXT has been seamlessly integrated with TP ICAP’s Data & Analytics division’s core infrastructure to collect real-time data for direct distribution to clients via multiple end points. This important new initiative will further satisfy their clients’ growing demand for flexible, direct access to the premium market data sets that TP ICAP’s Data & Analytics business provides. Proof that hard work, determination and a highly collaborative team effort on both sides does pay off.

A fantastic new signing

On this subject, I would like to share some more very positive news. In late 2019 we signed up a new client based in mainland Europe. It was testament to the dedication and commitment of the implementation team who, despite everything that’s going on, successfully rose to the challenge of a virtual remote delivery process. I am delighted to report the first phase is live and up and running and although it’s early days this new relationship is going from strength to strength. I hope to be able to tell you more about this challenging project later in the year. And there are more in the pipeline, so watch this space for further updates.

Long term relationships

The team has also been working diligently to deepen our relationships with other clients and have been busily adding more users and delivering a far wider range of services. I am also very pleased to report that recently a number of customers have not only extended their use of our services, some have signed new contracts for uninterrupted use of our solutions throughout 2020 and beyond. We really appreciate their continuing support and will ensure we provide the best possible service at all times.

#1 priority

Our clients and our people will always be our number one priority and with the expansion of the team, we look forward to extending many more of our existing relationships and signing up some new names over the coming months.

Our saving Grace

We extend a warm welcome to Grace Sees, the newest member of our growing IOWArocks team. Grace joins us with a commercial sales and music background and while this may sound a bit left field, we hired Grace to leverage her knowledge of the modern digital retail environment. Our vision for IOWArocks is to create an online marketplace similar to Netflix and Spotify etc., and we are well on the way to delivering this service. Although Grace has only been with us for a short while, we are already getting a lot of value from her refreshing and forward looking approach. The plan is for Grace to take on a bigger account management role as her knowledge grows. You will be delighted to hear that she is already singing loudly from the IOWArocks song sheet, which is music to my ears.

High quality customer support

As always, our dedicated support team is on hand to help. However, given the quality and resilience of our technology solutions, spare a thought for Nick and the team, as life can sometimes be a little quiet for them! Long may this continue.

Staying strong together

These are strange times as we all navigate our way through unchartered territories. However, we should take great comfort in the resilience and fortitude of the human spirit. We have seen a tsunami of love and support as evidenced by the amazing sense of community and togetherness which surrounds us. Long may this continue. During these difficult days, I have been inspired by the team who have gone above and beyond the call of duty to ensure our business, and those of our clients, continue to run smoothly. For this I am truly grateful.

My pledge to the MDXH clients and our wider partner community is that we will continue to deliver unrivalled support, expertise and understanding.
